Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This policy explains what happens to information about you when you visit curiousunknownhistories.com. The short version: the site has no user accounts and no contact forms, it does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the only personal data it handles is your email address if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter.

Who operates this site

Curious Unknown Histories is published by Curious Unknown Development.

Analytics

We use Umami to count visits and see which pages are read. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not follow you across other websites. It records page views in aggregate, such as the page visited, the referring site, and the country, browser and device type, without identifying individual visitors.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is used only to send you the newsletter. It is stored on this site, on our own server, and not with a third party newsletter service. We ask you to confirm the address by email before anything is sent, so nobody can be added without their knowledge, and we keep the address, the page you subscribed from and the date. It is never sold or shared with anyone else. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. You can also ask us to delete it at any time by writing to the address below.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to consent to. Your browser may store technical files needed for the site to load, and you can delete them at any time from your browser settings.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, which are set out in their own policies.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. In practice the only personal data we hold is your email address if you subscribed. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California have these rights under their local laws, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. For any question about it, write to [email protected].
